Ask the Right Questions

Waypoint Message
Sometimes when we’re stuck, it's not because we're not trying hard enough. It’s because we're asking questions that keep us spinning in circles: Why is this happening to me? What did I do wrong? These questions often invite blame or shame and close off our options. But asking better questions can open doors. When we shift our focus to What can I do now? How can I grow from this?, we create room for action, hope, and healing. This shift empowers us to move from self-criticism to self-compassion, from confusion to clarity.
By learning to pause and choose new questions, we build emotional strength. We discover that even when life feels out of control, we can control our response. That’s the power of asking the right question.
Success Strategies
1. Flip the Question: When you catch yourself asking “Why me?” or “What’s wrong with me?”, pause and flip it. Try: What do I need right now? What’s one small step I can take today?
2. Three Simple Steps: What are three simple steps you can take right now? What is preventing you from doing each of these steps?
3. Future-You Check-In: Reach out to your future self. Visualize the situation resolved. And now, feel how your future self is feeling and sit with that feeling for a moment.
